I usually point people to the actden site. The UCLA one is good also http://www.actden.com/pp/ http://www.oid.ucla.edu/fipse/tutorials/basicppt.html and there is one at Microsoft also. http://www.microsoft.com/education/?ID=PptDemo Don't forget to check the 'getting Started' booklet with the software. That will get you going a ways. And the fancy stuff doesn't always make it better anyway. PeachPit Press has many good books. Usually inexpensive, but well laid out and easy to access. If there is a good used book store around, and your version isn't the 'latest and greatest', you can get some pretty good buys Robert Eiffert, Librarian at Image Elementary http://www.ima.egreen.wednet.edu/library.html Elementary Librarian BLog www.crypticmachinery.com -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Melinda Miller-Widrick Sent: Friday, September 07, 2001 7:46 AM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: TECH-> help with a Powerpoint problem Hi folks - Does anybody know if there is a quick (and online) way to learn to put together a Powerpoint presentation? My superintendent has asked if I could help him with one for a renovation project meeting and I would like to say yes. However, I have "played" with it and inserted pictures but that's about all. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I meed a short and sweet "powerpoint for dummies" kind of thing.
