Greetings friends, I am writing an article for our state newsletter on how to do some of the stuff they didn't teach you in library school (in this case, related to library promotion and public relations. I have already gone through the lm-net archives and found some things there. What I would like to know is what people are doing. I would love to have some input from you regarding the following questions: 1. What do you do to promote the library and reading? 2. If you produce a newsletter, what kinds of information do you include? 3. If you subscribe to other mailing lists (electronic or otherwise) for a source of information, what are they? (feel free to include subscription information if you have it!) 4. Do you do promotion geared toward: a. faculty b. students c. both d. other (please specify) 5. What do you consider to be the most important type of PR you do and why? 6. What items do you produce for students that indirectly or directly promote the library? Additional comments: Thank you for your time and willingness to complete this survey! Kim Where books are burned, human beings will be burned too. --Heinrich Heine Kimberly A.
