Greetings all, One of our HS English teachers has asked me to do a booktalk combining Banned Book Week/cesorship with biographies and careers. He wants his students to choose a biography to read to learn about the subject's career. We don't have enough biographies that have been banned, so my idea is to booktalk biographies about people whose careers have been affected by censorship. So far, I have Galileo, Charles Darwin and Clarence Darrow. I know there are many others, but I'm drawing a blank! Any suggestions? Thanks, Anita ===== Anita Beaman Media Director Olympia High School Stanford, IL alibrarylover@yahoo.com Life is too short to read bad books or drink bad wine. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
