Greetings from Argentina. At 08:17 p.m. 25/09/2001 -0500, Johanna Halbeisen= =20 wrote: >A first grade teacher came to me in a panic. She just got a child >from Mexico who doesn't know English. It deals on how children acquire English as a Second Language, and=20 describes twelve strategies they use in their first steps towards the=20 target language. Another book I liked is: "Languages and Children: Making the Match" by Curtain-Pesola (Longman). It deals with foreign language instruction for an early start (grades K-8),= =20 and half of it is full of interesting teaching ideas/examples.
