This is a non sequitur, but I hope you will indulge me. We are having a brouhaha at high school because the teachers won't let the students take test papers home with them for the parents to see. It is not that the teachers don't want the parents to see the tests,(parents are encouraged to come see them),but teachers know that some of the students have copying machines at home and make copies to pass on to students who have not had the tests or to little sisters and brothers, etc. There are some questions that you simply want to ask each year, and while some might remember them to pass them on, it is not like having a copy of the test from which to study. We also are on block scheduling which compounds the problem of letting students take the tests home with them. Students seem to look for as many ways as possible now not to read and study. **The question is "Does your school have a policy about returning tests to students to take home?" How does your school handle this? Thanks for taking the time to reply.
