Dear Tish, Two of the 2001 Michael L. Printz award winners are set in England, if I'm not mistaken. Check out _Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging_ and my favorite, _Kit's Wilderness_ (which I just listened to on tape, narrated by Charles Keating & published by Listening Library, ISBN #0807282154). You may want to preview them not just for location, but to make sure these contemporary British books are right for your audience/teachers. :-) (See http://www.ala.org/yalsa/printz/ for the 411!) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Colleagues- Does anyone have any suggestions for easy British literature suitable for learning disabled readers (high school)? Some students chose Harry Potter, but others want something on a higher level (though most of the classics are proving to be too difficult for them). Any suggestions would be appreciated!
