I didn't see your posting earlier - but I made up a worksheet for our OPAC based on a crossword using an online Xword generator, the kids enjoyed the worksheet because it didn't seem like a worksheet and it was a pretty challenging worksheet - having them to research under many categories. I will help the year 6's (11year olds) make up their own crossword using the same generator to make their own worksheets to give to their classmates. This activity will help them focus on key words and questions that will enable people to find the answers - and hopefully in the end they will have a better understanding about what we have in the library and how the whole OPAC thing works. Gets them using the computers and internet but addressing a real problem to work through and having to use higher order thinking. Just another suggestion to the many already out there.
