TARGET:Elem. Book Title

One of my moms, age: a young  thirtysomething, asked if I knew of a book
called "Beyond the Paw Paw Trees" which "changed her outlook on life" as
a young reader.  Her description is sketchy, but the story involves a
child ignoring the warning to go past the Paw Paw trees (not sure of the
spelling) and finding great adventures. Thanks for your help.
