GEN: book title

We received a query from a teacher for a book a neighbor of hers is trying
to find. Here is what she says: "He thinks the author is S.E. Williamson or
S.E. Williams. The title is something like A Fabulous Journey or An
Incredible Voyage. (I don't think the book is The Incredible Journey) It is
about a brother and sister in the 1700s or 1800s in England, he thinks. The
parents have died and they work either in a mill or in a laundry. He thinks
the boy's name is Ben or Benji and the sister's name is Bess or Betsy." Any
ideas?
