Our tiny community (population 1200) is beginning a library, and I have bravely volunteered :-) to assign Dewey numbers to the nonfiction. Problem is, we can't afford a Dewey book. I figure the abridged will be fine. I think the latest abridged is #13, so if anyone has a 12th edition we could have, we would appreciate it. Of course, we wouldn't turn down a 13, but you're probably still using those. I will gladly pay postage, because my alternative is to lug the books an armload at a time to the library in the next town. All of our books have come from donations, and all of the workers are volunteers, so you can imagine the challenges here. I keep reminding myself this will be a fine addition to my resume, and soon my daughter will be old enough to read! Thank you!
