When you come to Washington, D.C., include the Library of Congress in your
travel plans!

The Library offers free workshops in navigating, searching, and using its
online digital materials. American Memory (http:memory.loc.gov/) contains
over 100 collections with over seven million sound recordings, films,
photographs, prints, diaries, letters, and other wonderful primary sources
in American culture and history. The Library of Congress
(http://www.loc.gov/) main web site continues to grow and add resources in
a wide array of topics, including international and government materials.

The workshops are offered twice monthly by Library staff in the Learning
Center of the Madison Building of the Library of Congress. The Madison
Building is conveniently located next to the Capitol South Metro station
and is across the street from the Capitol. To reach the Madison Building,
