Re: Poor binding on Nat. Geo. Atlas?

I've had the same problem with the 9th ed. of The Times Atlas and had to
pay a fair sum to have it rebound locally.  It does seem to me that
these huge, well-respected reference books should be bound sturdily
enough to endure the use for which they're (presumably) intended.  Any
others out there with similar problems?  Anything we can do about it?
