I had a sophomore ask me for information about "diaphragm". Since we have a
high teen pregnancy rate, I was jumping for joy inside thinking he had paid
attention to my talking about the library having the resources students need
for their personal lives.

I decided I'd best ask a few questions to make sure he wasn't talking the
muscle in the body so I asked if it was for school or for himself. He said
it was for English class. That didn't help a whole lot as it could still be
either type of diaphragm. I then asked what he was doing for English. "An
assignment, " was his answer. Several more questions and we still weren't
getting anywhere, so I just came right out and asked what type of diaphragm
he was referring to.

To make a long story short, he needed to diaGram sentences and had left his
textbook in another class. I managed to find some grammar books without
losing my composure and then my aide and I went to the back room and laughed
until our sides hurt.
