Hello fellow "Netters, I was hoping that you could share your collective wisdom and experience with me. I lost my postion in June due to budget cuts. I have been searching all summer for a position to no avail. I search the on line newspaper ads, I look at the on line bulletin boards for library and education postions in my state, I check out the job bank site and I have signed up with a teachers' employment agency. Is there anything else that I should be doing? How did you find your job? There are only a handful of jobs posted right now and they are not withing reasonable commuting distance from my home. Library Media is supposed to be shortage area in Connecticut, where I live and yet there are few jobs available. It just doesn't make sense. I would appreciate any advice that you could share with me. If there is interest I will post a hit. Thank you. Juliann T.
