Hi Everyone, I'll be transferring to a middle school in Sept. and will have over 700 students at the school. When I was visited the LMC this week, I found files where the previous librarian had seating charts for all the library computers ( 40 computers). I never did this at my elementary school. Each subject area teacher had to file out the chart in the beginning of the school year. I guess when the classes came for research, students sat at their assigned computer. All students have to log into the system, with their own student ID numbers, before they can access the computer's desktop. Being new, I just don't want to make additional work for the teachers. I want establish a relationship where I'm viewed as someone who is easy to collaborate with and have them feel comfortable in the library. The previous LMS had many, many rules for teachers and students to use the library. She is not available to answer any questions I may have on this matter. So, your advice on this is greatly appreciated. I'll post a hit. Thanks so much. Nancy O'Donnell Library Media Specialist Hoover Middle School 249 Thorncliff Rd.
