Having just come from a team leaders meeting and listening to some who went to a Love & Logic Conference this summer: Discipline problems will be GREATLY REDUCED if students are give as many "choices" about as many things as possible. (Read this: staff are people, too!) The fewer the hard & fast rules and the more the choices, you build trust in a relationship. Then, when you MUST be hard and inflexible, you are more likely to get cooperation (from both students & staff!) Something for us all to consider as the new year approaches! -- Leah Hawkins 705 Hurst Drive Bedford, TX 76022 > Hi Everyone, > I'll be transferring to a middle school in Sept. and will have over 700 > students at the school.
