Much has been written about the need for collaboration between teachers and media staff and collaboration between media staff and public library staff. But what about the need for cooperation and collaboration between the media staff of various schools? Some rural schools in Colorado formed a cooperative which received notice. Title: The Colorado nexus: equalizing opportunities to meet standards through regional resource networking. Does anyone have information regarding studies of similar projects? I am interested in the formation of a cooperative which would share automation technology as well as a web-based union catalog. I would like to push the concept further to include cooperative collection development, training opportunities, access to "need to know" information, and professional networking. If you know of similar projects in other states, please reply. I thank you in advance, Chris McArthur, Media Specialist ISD 435, Waubun, MN chrism@waubun.k12.mn.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
