One of our honors American literature students (11th grade) loves Mary = Higgins Clark and reads mostly her books. She is looking for a "classic" = (but not necessarily dead) American author who writes similar books to do = extensive reading and research on..literary criticism, comparison of 2 = novels, etc. Personally, I think she need to broaden her reading = interests, but would like to move her gently to other writers. Any = suggestions?
