TARGET: Shipping Books overseas

The religion teacher will be collecting new books to send to a small village in 
Nigeria where one of our students ha come from for medical help. He's been with us 
two years as he has undergone many surgeries to remove a tumor and do 
reconstruction.
The question is - how to (relatively) inexpensively ship books to Africa? Any 
suggestions on who might give us advice, help with this project?
