Target: Ornaments

I would like to make Christmas tree ornaments of our school mascot, a
mustang.  I saw cute horses this weekend made out of wine corks -- obviously
not appropriate for school!  Can anyone share a quick, easy, and cheap
pattern or idea?  TIA  Pam
