Dear David and everybody,
I have a very different reaction to Classmates.com. You can see who else
from your class has registered for free, and if you want to contact anyone
you can join for $29.99.
Unlike david, I was not automatically renewed. As a matter of fact, the last
time I was on the web site I was reminded to renew my membership at a 15 %
discount.
I was able to send e-mail to a number of people who I had lost contact with
thru their website. It does not give you their e-mail, but sends a message
from Classmates.com to the person, and then they can respond back to the
website if they wish. I think that is a lot safer.
The only problem I had was my brother's name was listed and, since he died
in 1998 without having any internet access, I wasn't sure how that happened.
I wrote to them and his name was removed.
