A big consideration should be how you will take inventory. If you are using a scanner, think about what will be comforatble to handle several thousand times. Ours are parallel to the spine near the top edge near the spine. It is easy to pull the book out a little bit and scan it. We use post-it-note type date due slips so they would never work on the outside. But it's an interesting idea. Any book you have not read is a new book ;-) Maureen S.
