LM_NET Archive

you can set up rules, too, and have all your lm_net email go into an
LM_Net email folder....just put the LM_Net in the rule and any msj with
that in the address will just pile into that folder.

i've been doing it this way for years and the only time I have a
problem is when I don't have time to look into the folder at all and it
becomes so overgrown that I just have to delete pages at a time....

but I wouldn't stop participating for all the snow in CT <grin>

Dianna,
I've set my Outlook Email up so that all messages from LM_Net are
displayed
in a different color from the rest. That way I don't have to look
through
everything to see if someone in my school or county has sent me a
message.

Subject: Subject tags & managing LM_NET mail :)

Hi everyone,

I shared this tip with the CHILD_LIT list and some of the folks there
found
it helpful, so I thought I'd share it with this list, too. I find it
helpful
in managing my email to have "subject tags" in my email subject lines.
(The
tag [LM_NET] is included in the subject lines of all incoming messages
from
the LM_NET list).

This list supports subject tags. To have this function turned on for
your
subscription, send an email to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU with the
following
message:

set LM_NET subjecthdr
end

Someone on the other list reminded me that including "end" after the
command
will tell the L-Soft system to ignore anything following the command.
This
is helpful if you include signature lines or if your provider
automatically
inserts text on all outgoing messages.

I hope this helps!

Dianna (who has managed many listservs using the L-Soft system) :)
