Hi there! Thanks so much to everyone who responded; I appreciate the time you took to answer my question. And to all of you who wanted to know the answer, here it is--and thanks for making me feel like I'm not the only librarian who isn't a computer programmer! :) -While your computer is booting up, press F10 to enter Setup -Using the arrow and tab keys, move down to the power save button -Turn it off -Press Enter to save the changes -Reboot the computer. So far, knock on wood, this has worked for me. Of course, I did this with my PC computer teacher standing over my shoulder, so it probably wouldn't work if I'd tried it alone! And, as always, actual steps may vary for your particular computer! Louise C.
