FW: [53L] FW: Two corrections on the Kids Improving Security Poster =
Contest mentioned in NewsBitesHello, friends -

I got the information I'm forwarding from my brother - a Major in =
the Army at Fort Lee, VA. It's for a student poster contest promoting =
computer systems safety. Six national winners will win a trip to =
Washington DC.
If your students don't participate, you may want to look at the =
materials at the website and develop a similar local contest for your =
school or library.

If you have ever wanted to get children involved early in learning to=20
keep systems more secure, there's something you can do now: tell the=20
schools (principals, art teachers, technology teachers) in your city=20
about the Kids Improving Security poster contest.=20

SANS and the FBI's National Infrastructure Protection Center are=20
cosponsoring the (page-sized) poster contest for kids in grades 3-8.=20
Winners' schools earn $1,500 in computer equipment and the six national=20
student winners each earn a trip to Washington for themselves and a=20
parent. DoD will make the winning posters into screen savers. Deadline=20
is in three weeks. If you live outside the US, borrow the concept and=20
the materials and run a poster contest yourself; we'll help tell people=20
in your country about it. http://www.staysafeonline.info/kis=20
