Happy New Year

Just came back from church where the theme was a world of peace. As our
pastor said we probably can't do much for world peace in the larger sense
but we can create and promote peace in our own part of the world. We sang
let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. So my hope for you
for the New Year is that your world and ours will be filled with peace
and love and that one year from today we can look at our world as a
better place.

I would also like to thank all of you for the great ideas, the long
distance friendships and support that I have experienced here. It is so
neat to feel that you have friends all over the world. I have gotten so
many ideas here and my teachers and principal are always amazed-- "what a
great idea-- how did you find that" and I alway have to tell them I came
from my library friends on the net-- ( Hmm do you think they might soon
wonder if I have an original idea???)

Well off to overdose on football-- or maybe just sleep through a game or
two. Had all the family here for the last week . Lots of people and great
fun so it is really quiet here now and the frig is full of leftovers. And
it is NOT snowing for the first time since the 23 of December!!! HAve a
toboggan run on my back deck courtesy of #1 son so I guess I won't use
the back door until spring. I'll leave you with the immortal words of the
Christmas carol Hark the Herald Angels Sing as sung by Emma 7 and Sarah 5
"With angelic pros croquetcame"!
