Sony Mavica Repair

Greetings...a staff member borrowed our Sony Mavica over Christmas and who
knows what happened to it...but you can't get an image in the LCD panel.
He was told he had to check it as luggagge on his flight to California.  Any
ideas what might have happened to it and where I might go to get it
repaired?
