It does pay to check the archives. there were some messages with sites dealing with immigration, and through Peter's Chico site I was able to access a project outline that the teacher really liked. Here is the information I received from the posting: http://www.nara.gov/education/teaching/raw.html http://www.mohonasen.org/dmslib/immigration.htm --- If part of this teacher's unit includes some reading or reading suggestions, please let me whole-heartedly recommend Francisco Jiminez's book _The Circuit: Stories from the Life of a Migrant Child_. --- We have links to several immigration sites here: > >http://www.ecb.org/tracks/mod9.htm > >Also this Web site is available in Spanish has links to Chicano history >sites. >La Causa: http://www.reuther.wayne.edu/ufw.html Thanks for the help.
