I am hoping that your collective wisdom can help me with this problem. Because of an ongoing book collection and book give-a-way project in our school (HS/MS), we regularly receives a large number of donated books, including many adult level novels. I am usually the first to sort through these donations to choose books to keep for our library. However, not being familiar with many of these titles aside from the blurb on the back cover, I often don't know if they are appropriate for a high school library or not. Can anyone give me a list of authors that I could trust to be appropriate and worthwhile? I checked the archives and found nothing very helpful. Thanks.
