Friends,

I am President of the Buckeye Children's Book Award (Ohio).  Our last day for 
nominations
is February 1, 2002 and I am suddenly aware there's a lot of work involved in 
validating
entries, etc. I need your help.

 I have researched and been unsuccessful in finding information about the author 
Jenny
Dale.  She is the author of the Puppy Patrol series.  Students have nominated her 
latest
book, _The Sea Dog_ and I need to know whether Dale is a U.S. citizen for the 
purposes of
our award. Any biographical information and your source would be much appreciated.

I must confess I've never heard of Jenny Dale, but evidently students are reading 
her
books.  I think some of the titles might be on the Accelerated Reader list.
