Our curriculum committee at school is looking at the status of the maps and globes in our building and it's made me start wondering - is there any kind of checklist/helpful hints/website out there that would help us date the resources we do have in the building? I know we have some REALLY old stuff, some kind of old stuff, etc., but I'm just not sure if our principal will go for replacing globes that are are only marginally old so I need help in figuring out what we actually have. I am also wondering if there is a general guideline for when maps and globes should be replaced and how this is typically funded at your school (textbook money, library budget, some other funds . . .) Thanks for your help!
