Hi - Can someone tell me a quick, good, and reliable way to find out if an author is still alive? Our fifth graders are doing an author study and one of the components involves writing to the author. I have been checking out web sites, but since they aren't always recent ( and some don't indicate when they've been updated), I'm not sure if they are still alive. Example: Lloyd Alexander. Someone thought he had died. Any info. would be greatly appreciated, and the faster the better, since we have 65 students choosing their authors tomorrow. Thanks so much.
