ANN: THE READ IN! Is gearing up for May 16th!

Hello, Fellow LM_NETers!

I have been a tad quiet lately: funding of small foundations has become a
crisis since 9/11. I am now back to working fulltime AND hosting THE READ IN!
and the website fulltime.

Just wanted to remind you of the date of this year's event: Thursday, May
16th. This is a special one for my family, as it is dedicated to our oldest
daughter, who would have been 34 that day. We miss her and although THE READ
IN! has always been dedicated to the memory of my father, an avid reader,
this year seemed the appropriate one to honor her memory.

Please join us. As of this morning, we are over 130,000 in 13 countries and
Washington, DC. We cover all time zones in our 11 hours online and for those
of you unaware, the list of authors is wonderful. Please visit our website to
register. It is simple. It is free. We celebrate reading all year long and
highlight the need to become literate each May...won't you join us?
