LM_NET: Library Media Networking

I recently became librarian in a small 9-12 high school and I am still taking 
classes. I have taken Selection but I was wondering if there is a standard list of 
basic titles that every fiction collection should have? There are lots out there, 
but what is best and what do people really use?
