    Wow.
    This is simply appalling; a betrayal of the library professional's
fundamental duty.
    There is a new, scholarly, book out, entitled _Nigger_.  Who among us is
justified in defacing and bastardizing its (dark-skinned) author's very
message by altering that word from its considered, candid use?
    Many glorious and unique works of art have been irreparably defaced, if
not destroyed, as a result of such irresponsible arrogance.
    Without apology, these are my simple observations.
