I read with interest the comments about the biographies. However, my question deals with the collective biographies. Do any of you pull them and shelve them in their Dewey subject area...for example a book on Venus and Selena Williams would be shelved with the tennis books; a book on the best defenders in the NFL would be with football books; a book on all of the US Presidents might be shelved in either American history or government. I have found that students miss the 920's completely. They may browse the subject area or the biography section....but never the 920's. How have you resolved this? Book vendors have told me they only put 920's on collective bio's....they "can't" (or won't) put subject area call numbers on books. Any suggestions?
