library design question

Hello.  My name is Kathleen and I'm an Library Science student in Buffalo, NY.  I 
am studying to be a media specialist and have been given an assignment that I'm 
having trouble with.  My school media course for this semester is putting together 
a report/procedures manual so that we don't go out into the field without something 
to refer to for various things.  I have been assigned to write a paper and then 
present information on the interior design of school media centers.  I haven't been 
able to find much useful information about lighting, signage, bulletin boards, etc. 
 Basically the environment of the MC.  I need to focus on key issues and ideas of 
this topic, but I'm having trouble finding sources.  If any of you have information 
that you'd like to share with me from personal experience in what new media 
specialists need to know about the environment they create, or if you have an 
article or book you think could be useful I would really appreciate it.   <br />
