Author Inquiry: Diane Patrick

It is obviously not my morning.  I forgot that LM_Net cannot receive
attachments;  Hopefully, here is my message sent through my mother's
account.  Sorry about mix-up.

I am trying to find some information about Diane
Patrick (might be Diane Patrick-Wexler also).  She
is the author of the New York Public Library
Amazing African American History; Book of Answers
for Kids as well as biographies including one on
Colin Powell.  Basically, my principal asked me
today to find out if she is African American
herself.  I checked online and found very little
personal information about her.  I called the
public library and asked the children's librarian
to check Something About the Author for me, but
she does not have an entry in it.  If any of you
can provide me definitive information or clues for
where to search, I would really appreciate it.
Please reply to me personally as I am currrently
somewhat behind my LM_Net digest reading.
