TAR:MID:RECOMMEND THESE BOOKS?

I posted this over the weekend but received very few reponses. I wonder =
if I could try one more time. Thanks once again!


Once again I turn to you all for recommendations as I try to choose the =
last two books I am going to order for the Tennessee state book award =
program for next year. I am choosing from the list for 7th-12th graders =
for my 7th and 8th graders, but since I am a conservative 6th-8th =
school, I must remember that whatever I buy can fall into the hands of =
6th graders. What do you recommend for appropriate titles (language and =
sexual content) from the following: Ender's Shadow by Card, Keeping the =
Moon by Dessen, Hidden Talents by Lubar, The Killer's Cousin by Werlin, =
Stuck in Neutral by Trueman, or Miracle's Boys by Woodson.=20

Also, I have had quite a few students over the last 2 years to ask for a =
book on how to learn sign language and one on how to learn Spanish.  I =
would like to have a simple, easy to read resource to hand them on each =
of these topics.  Any suggestions?

I will be glad to post a hit if there is interest.
