Late word that an online version of the Horn Book is now available online

The following are a few paragraphs from an email I received this afternoon.

----

Westport, CT, January 31, 2002 The Hogwarts classes and Quidditch action
are best in the first and third Harry Potter books. But the other two
didnšt provide the same captivating magic: the second book was "formulaic"
and the fourthšs "emotional impact is disappointingly slight." This
according to The Horn Book, the unrivaled guide to children's literature in
the United States since 1924.

The Horn Book Guide reviews virtually every hard cover book published in the
United States for young people that teachers and librarians have trusted for years
is available via the
Web. The online version (www.hornbookguide.com) released today offers more
than 35,000 reviews of books published between 1989 and 2001.

The Horn Book Guide Online is presented by Greenwood Electronic Media, a
division of The Greenwood Publishing Group. The Horn Book Inc.
(www.hbook.com) is the publisher of The Horn Book Magazine and The Horn Book
Guide, Americašs foremost childrenšs literature review journals.
