TECH: Technological black cloud

Absolutely, I believe there are those who are so cursed.  One staff member
decided to try to open her email a year after it was installed.  Since I
email staff at least three times a week, her mailbox was full to
overflowing.  In my office I gave her a quick lesson in deleting mail.  She
left my office, went to her classroom, but was back within three minutes,
saying "I don't know what happened.  I did just what you said and then
everything stopped working."  I tried to bring up her account on my machine
to no avail.  I tried to access my own email.  No luck.  Then I called our
district tech department and found that just moments before, for no reason
they could discern, the entire email system went down!  It stayed down for
over an hour.  The teacher has not opened her email since!
