Thanks to all those that sent President sites.  Here are the ones people
suggested:

There are several presidents in the "Amazing People" section of the Library
of Congress Kids site:

These are not as young kid friendly but are arranged as short facts (like
what was their salary!) so might work for this age...

Not sure if the White House Kids guide has biographies:

Grolier has presidents but they may be too complicated:
