Same situation - me and 27 students - no teacher, no
aide. I use a timer. I set it at the beginning of
class for the total time allowed for that class, minus 5
minutes for actual checkout. I don't check anyone out
until the timer goes off, using that time to help
students - and once the timer goes off I don't help
anyone on the floor, I stand behind the counter and
checkout. The one I bought has a four minute warning -
so it goes off once 4 minutes before it goes off the
final time, letting students know that if they haven't
made their selection, they better be doing it! I think
I bought it from either Highsmith or Demco.
