Netters,

A teacher at my school asked if I could find out
if a story had been plagiarized. She thinks it
sounds like Edgar Allan Poe.

I did an advanced search on Google but came
up empty. Do any of you recognize it?

"How do all stories begin if not at the beginning?
I wish this were the case, but the animal had lived
longer than my 14 years or at least insofar as I
remember. Nobody really remembers its
appearance. It could be that some kind of a curse
in days gone by had been left at our doorstep. I
say a curse for my father's employer Sarah, the
Mistress of the house and whom he had served
faithfully for longer than The Beast in question was
old, loved the devious creature..."
