Lakewood School District is in the Northwest area of Washington
State. We are a small school district, currently about 2200
students. We have 4 schools, a K-2, a 3-5, a middle school and a
9-12 high school. All are one campus. We are currently breaking
ground for a new K-5 school which will open in the fall of 2003.
Please note: We are the Lakewood that is NORTH of Seattle, near
Marysville, Arlington and Stanwood. There is a city of Lakewood
south of Seattle, that is not us.
We have an opening for a full time librarian at our K-2 school. It
has been my school until now, as I was shared between the K-2 and 3-5
schools. The K-2 school, Lakewood Elementary, is about 575 students.
We are hiring an additional librarian, so next year I will be at the
3-5 school full time and will happily support the K-2 librarian. In
fact, many of the plans for next year's school-wide library programs
are set up and ready to go! Please email me if you need information.
