Maybe someone can direct me. I have a request from a patron as follows:
<REC'VD WORD FROM MY UNCLE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A PAPER FROM PRESTON
UNIVERSITY(ENGINEERING),1939 IS THE YEAR AND IT WAS RE: WATER TURBINE(S). IN
THE PAPER IS ALSO INCLUDED THE WORD "WATER SHEARS"; THIS WAS A DEVICE THAT
WAS POPULAR FOR AIRPLANE MECHANICS AND HE & I CAME UP WITH THE SAME SOURCES,
WHICH IS NO HELP AT ALL. CAN YOU BE OF ANY ASSISTANCE?>
I went on the university web site and had no luck locating the requested
item. I also sent an e-mail to the assistant librarian there and have
received no response. Is there some other approach I should be taking to
locate this paper?
