Dear LM_NET Colleagues, On Mon, 29 Jul 2002, Rena Deutsch wrote: > I just got a message from L-Soft list server at Syracuse University saying > it received an invalid request from me. > > The rejected message has my e-mail as sender but I didn't send anything to > it -- should I be concerned? This appears to be yet another of the side-effects of the recent rounds of computer viruses and trojan horses going around. They are able to involve people who do not have the virus, by grabbing their e-mail addresses from wherever they can, and faking messages to people, and even to listservers, which is where it appears to have gone in your case. As always, be sure to keep an active antivirus software with updated DAT (virus definition) files on your computer. Glad to have you with us on LM_NET!
