Self-Nominations Needed: Library Media Specialist Best Practices

Greetings, all!  I am writing a sequel to my first
book for Libraries
Unlimited, 100 More Library Lifesavers: A Survival
Guide for School Library
Media Specialists.  One of the chapters in the new
book will include (10)
profiles of library media specialists and library
media center best
practices.  As a member of our listserv, I know
personally of the vast amount
of knowledge and professionalism that abounds on
LM_NET.  That's why I am
asking personally for your self-nominations.  What
makes you and your media
centers great?  Tell me about it by answer the
following questions.  I will
follow-up with additional questions for the ten people
selected to be in the
book.  I wish I had room for all of you, but here
goes...

1.  What is your full name and the name of your school
media center?
2.  How long have you been in your position?  How long
have you been in the
profession?
3.  Have you received awards or special recognition?
If so, what?
4.  What do you consider your three "best practices?"
5.  What advice would you give to new library media
specialists?
6.  What is your funniest moment so far in your
position?
7.  Any other interesting information you want to
share?
