I am interested in your ideas about creative ways to provide a more inviting environment for students of color, and am interested in your ideas. (I'll post a hit.) The setting is a large suburban high school with population of 2,000, including about 20% Asian, maybe 5% African American. I can think of some obvious ones, like creating multicultural bibliographies, writing grants to bring in guest authors representing diverse cultures, displaying books of various cultures, etc. Other ideas that address day-to-day things to do? Thanks for your help!
