I am a person who likes change. I am contemplating a switch from a large
(2,700 students), prestigious, college prep, urban high school (105 year old
building commencing on a 3-year renovation, none of which will benefit the
library) to a more manageable (500 students), urban (art) academy (15
students/class primary, 20 students/class intermediate) brand spanking new
elementary building - with new staff, new books, new everything (including
air conditioning!). I had one-year experience in an elementary program
before coming to Central High. I did love it!
If any of you have made a transition from high school to elementary, whether
good or bad, would you be willing to share your experience with me
privately?
